InsideView for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

Follow the instructions below to deploy the InsideView Solution bundle to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 instance in just minutes.

INSTALLING InsideView
  1. To begin

    Download InsideView for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 

  2. Log into CRM as an Administrator (specifically with “System Customizer” role)
  3. Navigate to Setting >> Customization >> SolutionsScreen Shot 2014-10-23 at 2.26.57 PM
  4. Click “Import” to browse your local computer and select the ZIP fileScreen Shot 2014-10-23 at 2.27.38 PM
  5. Follow the instructions and system prompts to complete the installScreen Shot 2014-10-30 at 11.05.27 AM
  6. Navigate to any Account, Lead or Contact to view the InsideView mash-up. That’s it!Screen Shot 2014-10-30 at 11.08.14 AM
ADMIN NOTE:
A. ON-PREMISES USERS, PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL STEPS.
  1. Download the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide (click here) – Follow instructions in section “Configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Internet-facing deployment” to set up an IFD environment
  2. Download the Microsoft Dynamics IFD configuration tool from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948779
  3. Instruct your network administrator to add the following IP range (64.56.203.0-64.56.203.255) to allow access your network
  4. Instruct your network administrator to configure the external DNS to allow https://your.dynamicsurl.com to resolve from outside the firewall
  5. Wait 4-6 hours to allow time for DNS replication to complete

C. CONSIDER SETTING UP A PROXY USER TO PROVIDE SEAMLESS SYNC/EXPORT

E: ANY/ALL UNMANAGED SOLUTIONS SHOULD FIRST BE BACKED UP (BY EXPORTING THEM AS UNMANAGED SOLUTIONS) BEFORE IMPORTING THE INSIDEVIEW MANAGED SOLUTION.
