Recently InsideView was selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Austin by BuiltIn Austin. This is, of course, a huge honor and I was thrilled that we were selected. As wonderful as it is to have the company I work for win an award, awards can only tell you part of the story. I wanted to share my thoughts about why I’ve loved working at InsideView and what makes our Austin Office great.
I started at InsideView just under a year ago and it’s truly been a wonderful experience. A couple of months into my new job I suggested a major software change in recruiting to my boss. What I was proposing would require a major investment and a total restructuring of our current process. To my surprise, within a matter of months, my ideas were not only heard but also acknowledged. I was asked to research and weigh in on the selection process, and identify the best software. Having your ideas being put into action is one thing, but having your boss pull you in to be a part of the decision process is another. This is just one example of how I truly felt valued from the start.
Freedom and Autonomy, with Support
Another great thing about InsideView is that I feel that I’ve been giving all of the tools and resources to be successful while also being given the freedom to execute my to-do list on my own. It’s the best balance you can hope for in a job.
Location. Location. Location.
It would be hard to ask for a better spot in Austin for our office to be located. In the heart of downtown, in an office on the 16th floor, we have amazing views from all across our office and we’re close to great music venues, eateries, Ladybird Lake, and so much more!
Our building includes a rooftop terrace with a view of the Capital and a gym that all of our Insiders (InsideView employees) can use for free.
Small Office, Big Impact
I organized a toy drive during the holidays that benefited the Partnership for Children (PFC) Holiday Wishes Program. PFC is an organization that provides resources for children who are in the care of Child Protective Services (CPS) and the Holiday Wishes Program provides gifts for these children – many of whom have been removed from their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The response from our office was amazing. I wasn’t sure what to expect doing a drive in a smaller office but our Austin Insiders really stepped up to the challenge.
There have been so many fun events since I’ve joined InsideView! I’ve enjoyed many happy hours with coworkers including our Halloween Costume Contest, a great holiday party, and cruise on Ladybird Lake. InsideView offers end of quarter lunches and massages to everyone in the company (not just the salespeople!). I also love how our office has a casual dress code and the chance to bond over the occasional breakfast taco (so Austin!).
I’m truly thankful to be a member of the InsideView Team!
